Blå Station

Blå Station is a family business founded in 1986 from the inspiration of Börge Lindau, a Swedish designer eager to produce furniture that, in his opinion, deserved a place on the market.
The furnishings proposed by Blå Station are designed for contract and outdoor use, with applications also in domestic environments. Installed in a former tailor's shop in the small seaside town of Åhus, the company immediately proposed itself as an atypical laboratory, a "station" through which innovative ideas and proposals transit, in a relaxed and fun atmosphere. A winning formula that has brought Blå Station to international prominence through numerous awards and recognitions, and with furnishing projects for important public structures all over the world. All Blå Station products are strictly made in Sweden, using raw materials from Scandinavia and respecting the criteria for sustainable production. Each product is born from an inexhaustible curiosity towards the new and from the desire to offer something unexpected, not only in form, but also in function, materials and production process. The starting point is the analysis of the space in which the object will be placed, in order to identify the new needs of the public in a constantly evolving world.

Blå Station

In 2017 Blå Station presents the BOB collection, a seating system designed by Thomas Bernstrand and Stefan Borselius. The BOB sofa, progenitor of the collection, is made up of 7 26 cm wide modules that can be assembled in rectilinear, curved, specular, wave or circle compositions, adhering to any type of space. Ease of assembly and flexibility, combined with a rigorous and essential design have decreed the enormous success of this product, awarded with numerous international awards and used to furnish public spaces and offices all over the world. Bob is made up of independent modules for each component, from the seat to the backrest to the armrests, which can be assembled as desired to compose sofas, benches or poufs. Over time, the collection has been enriched with different elements and different versions, making BOB an increasingly complete and versatile system.
